"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 — The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has initiated an inquiry into a person for allegedly posting content on Facebook that may have insulted Islam. The issue centers around the word \"lighad,\" which pertains to Surah al-Hashr, verse 18, within Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's Budget 2027 address. \"The content allegedly mocked a Quranic verse, sparking public concern,\" the MCMC stated in a recent declaration. The commission recorded a statement from the individual and confiscated a mobile phone and an eSIM for forensic analysis. The probe is being conducted under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, which permits a maximum penalty of RM500,000 in fines or up to two years imprisonment, or both, upon conviction. MCMC emphasized that exercising freedom of expression on social media platforms necessitates responsible conduct, considering religious sensitivities and preserving harmony within a diverse, multiracial, and multireligious nation.",
