"summary": "John Mateer delivered a standout performance for the Oklahoma Sooners, leading the team to a 27-24 upset victory over the No. 1 Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl. Despite struggling in the first month of the season, Mateer avoided turnovers and completed 18-of-26 passes for 155 yards, showcasing his best game of the season. He had an impressive 13 rushing yards on nine carries, with no sacks or turnovers. Freshman Trystan Haynes made his first-career start and contributed significantly, making crucial plays including a pass breakup and a tackle on Arch Manning. Oklahoma's run defense was equally impressive, allowing only 122 yards on 32 carries, which forced Texas to rely on the air late in the game. Arch Manning had two interceptions, both resulting in OU points, while the Longhorns' run game struggled, allowing only 122 yards on the day.",
