Jayakumar has been unanimously elected president of the Sri Lanka-Thailand Society at its 29th Annual General Meeting held at the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo. The AGM was attended by Thai Ambassador to Sri Lanka Paitoon Mahapannaporn, members of the Society, and other distinguished guests. The Society, which is marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, continues to promote cultural, religious, and economic ties and strengthen people-to-people links.
