"summary": "The governors of Nigeria's 36 states have declared a nationwide nutrition emergency, committing to launch a National Nutrition Intervention Fund to advance the Nutrition 774 Initiative across every local government area in the country. This historic move, announced by Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, follows a three-day Nigeria-Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange. The governors pledged to strengthen domestic financing, deepen accountability at the grassroots, and institutionalise a unified framework for nutrition planning and budgeting, drawing lessons from Ethiopia's experience in tackling malnutrition. The commitment was signed by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, the President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.",
