"account": "Two individuals lost their lives when a small plane crashed into a field and caught fire near Fergus, Ontario, reported the Ontario Provincial Police. Authorities responded to the scene near Beatty Line and Wellington Road 17 on Friday, around 10:15 a.m., following reports of the incident. Upon arrival, the plane had already crashed into the field and ignited a fire. First responders managed to douse the flames. By Saturday, the OPP confirmed that there were two individuals aboard the aircraft during the crash, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. The OPP cleared the area on Saturday afternoon and forwarded the case to the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) for further investigation. Global News has reached out to both the TSB and Transport Canada for additional information, but has not yet received a prompt reply.
