"summary": "The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published its final list of candidates for the February 6, 2027 governorship elections, revealing that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is missing from the lists for Ogun and Gombe states. The lists, signed by INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony and published on the INEC website, show 13 candidates in Ogun and 16 in Gombe, none of them from the PDP. The omissions include Ladi Adebutu in Ogun and Isa Ali Pantami in Gombe. Adebutu's absence has sparked questions over his eligibility, as some groups allege that his name was missing from the PDP membership register submitted to INEC. However, the Ogun PDP has denied these allegations, stating that Adebutu is a registered member and that the party complied with the legal requirements for membership registration and submission of its register to INEC. In Gombe, Pantami's absence stems from a court dispute over the process that produced him as the PDP's governorship candidate.",
