"account": "Hundreds of African Democratic Congress (ADC) members in Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State have recently switched allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. This mass defection was officially acknowledged during a political gathering held in Zuru on Saturday. Anas Aliyu Gujiya, a prominent ADC member and aspirant for the House of Representatives, spearheaded the migration of several defectors to the APC.\n\nGujiya addressed the attendees, urging the state government to bolster security measures in Zuru Emirate, particularly in regions grappling with the scourge of banditry. The APC governor, Nasir Idris, warmly received the defectors and affirmed his administration's commitment to addressing the issue of insecurity. Idris pledged that his team would continue to collaborate with security agencies to combat banditry and help displaced residents return to their homes.\n\nFurthermore, Idris noted the community's concerns regarding inadequate road infrastructure and reassured that his administration would strive to improve these conditions, including those roads under federal control, to facilitate smooth movement and development in the area.",
