"account": "Brandin Podziemski, the Golden State Warriors' fourth-year combo guard, has agreed to a five-year, $110 million contract extension, according to ESPN reporter Shams Charania. The deal, which includes a mutual option in the fifth year, makes Podziemski one of the league's most secure players.\n\nPodziemski, who was drafted 19th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Santa Clara, entered the final year of his rookie contract entering the 2026-27 season. He became eligible for a rookie-scale contract extension over the summer. The Warriors had until the start of the regular season to negotiate with Podziemski.\n\nSince joining the Warriors, Podziemski has become a consistent contributor. In his first season, he earned All-Rookie team honors and played 220 regular-season games, starting 104. His averages of 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game demonstrated his versatility.\n\nLast season, Podziemski's performance peaked. He played a career-high 82 games and averaged 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per contest. His shooting percentages were equally impressive, with 45.5% field goal accuracy and 37.1% from three-point range.\n\nThe Warriors, led by star player Stephen Curry, will rely on Podziemski's continued contributions in the upcoming season.",
