"account": "HBO has greenlit a new one-hour drama series titled \"Crazy Rich Asians\" in response to the immense popularity of the 2018 romantic comedy film adaptation. Several stars from the hit movie are set to reprise their roles, with Constance Wu, Henry Golding, and Ronny Chieng all signing on as series regulars. Michelle Yeoh, who earned an Oscar for her performance in the film, will return in a recurring role. The eight-episode series will be based on Kevin Kwan's bestselling book trilogy, \"China Rich Girlfriend\" and \"Rich People Problems.\" Filming will pick up where the original movie left off, delving deeper into the extravagant world and diverse characters that Kwan has crafted. Adele Lim, who co-wrote the original film, will serve as showrunner and executive producer, expressing her enthusiasm for the project as a \"Crazy Rich family reunion.\" Director Jon M. Chu, who previously helmed the movie, will also serve as an executive producer, describing bringing the stars back together as feeling \"like coming home.\" Both Chu and Kwan are thrilled by the opportunity to expand their beloved story through the more expansive format of an HBO series.",
