"account": "Saskatoon’s Friendship Inn experienced a surge in demand during September, preparing over 55,000 meals, marking the third straight month surpassing 50,000 meals. CEO Sandra Kary expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, calling it their biggest meal of the year. Kary stated, \"Thanksgiving is always our favorite event of the year. I mean, Christmas is fantastic, but Thanksgiving has its own really special charm.\" The team prepares the food a week before the event, ensuring readiness on the day of the holiday. Kary anticipates serving more meals this year, with last year’s total nearing 2,500 meals and expecting to exceed that figure this time. She attributes the increasing demand to the rising cost of living and the city’s growth, noting that food often becomes a priority for those struggling financially. The Friendship Inn remains open to accepting more donations, including turkeys, coffee, peanut butter, jam, and financial contributions. Each meal costs $5, and the organization encourages community support through various means.",
