"account": "Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has refuted claims that former Zamfara State Governor Abdul’aziz Yari is funding the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Bilyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi. Shinkafi dismissed the allegation as false, stating it was a deliberate attempt to tarnish Yari’s image following his appointment as Director-General of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign council. The ADC candidate is reportedly a cousin of Yari’s wife, a daughter of the late Umaru Shinkafi. Shinkafi claimed that the candidate had initially sought the APC party’s nomination for the Zamfara North Senatorial District seat but was rejected by the party’s screening committee ahead of the 2027 elections. He further alleged that some political actors were unhappy with Yari’s appointment as the campaign council’s director general and were using the allegation to attack him.",
