"account": "On Saturday, economist and activist Jean Dreze, along with scholars and artists, was detained by Delhi Police near Jantar Mantar after participating in the Cockroach Janata Party protest. The four individuals, including Dreze, filmmaker Aban Raza, scholar Paran Amitava, and artist Anjali S, gathered near Kerala House, close to Jantar Mantar. Dreze stated that the police picked them up without explanation, and the group was held at Adarsh Nagar police station. Dreze noted that the group had been present for only a few minutes, holding posters and speaking to the media, yet the police still detained them. Amitava mentioned that police arrived unexpectedly, leading to the group being pushed into a bus and having their posters torn. Police prevented the group from speaking to the media inside the bus. Several others who intended to attend the protest for personal reasons or other activities were also detained. They alleged mistreatment, including confiscation of phones and manhandling of those from working-class and minority communities.",
