"account": "Cole Palmer, the 24-year-old England international, has inked a new Chelsea contract with enhanced terms, extending his stay until 2034. The deal is a testament to his impressive performances, as he has ascended to one of the club's top attacking players and a key figure in the dressing room. Only Manchester City's Erling Haaland, along with Chelsea's Joao Pedro and Geovany Quenda, are contracted to the same length at the Premier League's top tier.\n\nPalmer initially joined Chelsea in a £42.5 million transfer from Manchester City in 2023 and inked his initial contract two years ago. This renewal follows a series of extensions the club has implemented to reward both established and emerging talents while maintaining their wage structure. Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto are recent examples of such signings, with new deals until 2034.\n\nThe England star has formed a strong bond with Brazil forward Joao Pedro and reconnected with his \"best friend in football,\" midfielder Morgan Rogers, since the new manager Xabi Alonso took charge. Palmer had been privy to Chelsea's negotiations for Rogers' transfer from Aston Villa for a record £117 million this summer.\n\nAfter battling a persistent groin issue last season, Palmer has returned to form, scoring four goals and providing two assists in seven matches this season. This resurgence comes after he was overlooked for England's World Cup squad due to his limited playing time, and his absence from the recent international break has been noted by manager Thomas Tuchel.\n\nPalmer is currently Chelsea's most-played player this season, but he missed England's recent international break, which led to Tuchel's comments about him missing opportunities. The manager confirmed Palmer's availability for Saturday's match against Bournemouth and reiterated the player's commitment to both the club and the national team. Alonso praised Palmer's consistent training and readiness to exploit his minutes when fit, emphasizing the importance of his presence in both the team and the national squad. Chelsea sits at 10th place after five matches, conceding 12 goals.",
