"account": "Lecturers at three Lagos State universities—Lagos State University, Lagos State University of Education, and Lagos State University of Science and Technology—will resume teaching immediately after the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) called off its strike. This decision comes following negotiations over staff welfare and outstanding agreements with the Lagos State Government.\n\nASUU announced the suspension of the strike on Friday in a joint statement, crediting the collective support of individuals and organizations for reaching this milestone. The union expressed gratitude to various stakeholders, including the Joint Action Front, Education Rights Concern, Campaign for Democratic Workers Rights, traditional rulers, students, and parents for their support during the negotiation process.\n\nThe lecturers thanked media, civil society organizations, and other parties for their assistance, while reaffirming their commitment to maintaining high standards of academic excellence. Despite the suspension, ASUU assured that they would continue discussions with the Lagos State Government to resolve all outstanding issues concerning staff welfare.",
