"account": "Zach Bates has secured pole position for Sunday's Bathurst 1000, leading the Top 10 Shootout time sheets at Mount Panorama. Despite Brodie Kostecki's impressive lap of two minutes and 4.4912 seconds, Bates managed to edge ahead by just 0.285 seconds. This marks Bates' second pole position, following Klaus Ludwig (1987) and Marcos Ambrose (2001). The 22-year-old, the son of former rally and Supercars driver Rick Bates, will start in front of Team 18's De Pasquale and Cooper Murray. Series leader Matt Payne finished 10th in the shootout, while defending Supercars champion Chaz Mostert and Kai Allen did not make the top 10.",
