"account": "Five landmines were discovered and securely dismantled by the Indian Army along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials announced on Saturday, October 10, 2026. One patrol team found two mines near the border fence in the Basoni top area in the morning, while three additional mines were discovered in the same region the day before, according to the officials. They explained that the explosives were later neutralized through controlled explosions by the Army's Bomb Disposal Squad, ensuring no damage occurred. The forward areas along the LoC are periodically marked with landmines as part of an anti-infiltration barrier system. Nevertheless, heavy rain can occasionally erode the mines, causing them to resurface in locations where they might present a hazard.",
