"account": "A man from Perak has reportedly lost nearly RM12.47 million due to suspected cryptocurrency theft. The victim, aged 38, discovered the unauthorized transfer of his digital wallet assets while in Teluk Intan, according to Perak police chief Alwi Zainal Abidin.\n\nPreliminary investigations suggest the transaction was facilitated through a blockchain network. Police are now working to identify those responsible and trace the flow of transactions, with support from the Bukit Aman commercial crime investigation department's crypto unit. The case is being handled under Section 420 of the Penal Code, which imposes a potential prison sentence of one to ten years, along with whipping and a fine upon conviction.\n\nAlwi Zainal Abidin cautioned the public to remain vigilant against phishing and online scams. He advised individuals to regularly monitor their digital wallet transactions, take immediate action if they suspect their accounts have been compromised, and enhance their digital security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.",
