"summary": "The Huanggang Port crossing at Hong Kong's border is set to open on Monday after six years of redevelopment, introducing a new \"joint clearance\" model that will streamline the immigration process for both Hong Kong and mainland Chinese residents. To utilize the new facility, passengers must register with immigration authorities on both sides of the border, with various registration methods available for Hong Kong residents, including online registration and in-person registration at existing checkpoints. Upon arrival, travelers will need to use the automated e-channel machines or staffed counters for clearance, which should significantly reduce the previous clearance time from 30 minutes to just five minutes. The checkpoint is accessible via authorized public transport, including buses, green minibuses, taxis, and cross-boundary coach services, with passengers required to alight at a designated immigration clearance point.",
