"account": "The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Singapore will undergo a major transformation and be renamed the National Centre for Mental Health Singapore by 2027. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung announced plans to redevelop and expand the facility at its current location in Buangkok, aiming to create a more modern and comprehensive hospital by 2040. The government's broader strategy to address the increasing number of mental health cases across Singapore includes revising parental consent rules to prevent young individuals from being discouraged from seeking help due to stigma or parental resistance. Ong emphasized the importance of preventing mental health challenges and early intervention, while also addressing the rising demand for psychiatric care in community settings. Mental health advocates have called for lowering the age of consent for mental health services, as current regulations can hinder young individuals from seeking treatment. The government aims to create a supportive environment that encourages young people to seek help without fear of stigma or long-term consequences.",
