"account": "In the premiere of Season 2 of Blue Bloods, Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg) receives a promotion to detective sergeant, but only after receiving Lena Silver's (Sonequa Martin-Green) blessing. Martin-Green and Wahlberg initially had different perspectives on the promotion; Wahlberg wanted Danny to do right by his partner, while Martin-Green encouraged Danny to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. The actors approached the promotion from opposite perspectives, but they ultimately agreed on it. Wahlberg also reflects on the return of co-star Len Cariou, who reprises his role as Henry \"Gramps\" Reagan via video call in the premiere. In Season 2, Danny's new rank doesn't change the fact that he and Lena ride together as partners and continue to investigate cases together, including the attempted murder of Det. Brian Rogers (Ryan Broussard). Lena's sister, Superintendent of Detectives Sarah Silver (Maggie Lawson), refuses to clear Brian for active duty due to concerns about his PTSD. Meanwhile, Mae (Gloria Reuben) faces challenges in her reelection campaign after opposition research reveals that her car was spotted outside a family planning clinic in 1985.",
