"summary": "US President Donald Trump has struck a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply over 300,000 tonnes of diesel fuel to the US and the global market. The agreement was announced after a phone call between the two leaders, with Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov describing the conversation as positive.\n\nThe deal has been met with criticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who called it a \"weak decision\" and an \"unwarranted gift\" to Putin. According to Axios, Zelensky had been asked by the US to stop attacking Russian oil refineries, but refused, leading to Russia imposing a ban on diesel exports.\n\nThe situation is part of a broader conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with Trump attempting to broker a peace deal. However, Zelensky's actions have been seen as undermining these efforts, with Putin's aide stating that Ukraine's drone attacks on Moscow during recent elections had disrupted plans for trilateral peace talks.",
