"summary": "US President Donald Trump has struck a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin for Russia to supply the US with diesel. The agreement comes a month after the US imposed sanctions on Moscow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticised the deal, calling it a \"weak decision\" that would give the Kremlin more money to fund its war in Ukraine and undermine peace efforts.\n\nAccording to The Hill, Zelensky wrote that \"gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world.\" The deal has also been met with scepticism from energy policy experts, who say it is unlikely to make a significant dent in high prices at the pump.\n\nThe agreement involves Russia boosting its supply of diesel to the US and global market over the next few months. The Times of India reported that Putin and Trump also discussed major economic initiatives and potential Russian fuel supplies during their phone call.",
