"summary": "Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized a US-Russia deal allowing Russian diesel fuel to be supplied to the US and global markets. According to The Hill, Zelensky argued that the move would give Russia more money to fund its war in Ukraine and undermine peace efforts, stating \"Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world.\"\n\nThe deal, announced by US President Donald Trump after a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, eases sanctions on Russian diesel. The Treasury Department issued a temporary license allowing sales of Russian diesel on the global market through April 7, 2027. Russia has also begun lifting restrictions on diesel exports, with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak confirming this.\n\nZelensky questioned Washington's approach, noting that Ukrainian peace negotiators were in Florida at the same time, seeking an end to Russia's invasion. He emphasized that the US easing sanctions on Moscow plays into Russia's hands, according to CNBC. The arrangement could generate substantial new revenue for Moscow, potentially sustaining its invasion, at a time when Ukraine and its European partners have been pressing for tougher sanctions.",
