"account": "Kimberly Polman, a woman from British Columbia, has pleaded guilty to charges related to terrorism in a Vancouver court. The Public Prosecution Service of Canada revealed that Polman admitted to leaving Canada to engage in activities of a terrorist organization - the Islamic State. Polman had spent several years in a Syrian detention camp before being brought back to Canada in 2022. She entered the country in poor health, dealing with hepatitis, and her sister mentioned in a 2021 interview that Polman was experiencing post-traumatic stress and other difficulties. According to her sister, Polman had met an Islamic State fighter online and married him, but they soon divorced and she subsequently denounced the group. Polman's trial for two charges was scheduled to begin on November 9, but a sentencing hearing has not been scheduled yet.",
