"account": "The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Anambra State has declared readiness and preparedness to ensure smooth, fair, and credible elections in the 2027 general polls. During a stakeholders engagement meeting at INEC's headquarters in Awka, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Elizabeth Agwu, disclosed that the commission has deployed 5,720 Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines to cater to the state's 5,720 polling units. Further, the INEC plans to deploy about 22,280 ad hoc staff for the electoral exercise. The commission is prepared to distribute Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and urged the public to visit their respective wards to collect their PVCs. Agwu emphasized that the INEC is committed to conducting a free, fair, and glitch-free election. She warned against electoral malpractices and emphasized the importance of citizens exercising their franchise and handling their PVCs with care. The REC also announced that the names of those registered between January and July have already been published, urging voters to verify their names and report any discrepancies.",
