"account": "Amazon has reorganized its Alexa division leadership following the launch of its first high-end tablet computers featuring the voice assistant. Daniel Rausch, a 17-year Amazon veteran who has led the Alexa and Echo division for over three years, will depart the unit next month. Rausch, known for his role in Alexa's public appearances and global launches, will return to the devices and services division in 2027. His successor is Aidan Marcuss, currently the vice president of Fire TV, advertising, and the Amazon appstore. Marcuss, who joined Amazon from Microsoft in early 2025, will take on Rausch's responsibilities as part of the transition. Kevin Keith, a product and marketing vice president, will maintain his position and assume Marcuss' responsibilities temporarily. Amazon has not provided further details about the changes. Alexa, introduced in 2014, has consistently been a money-losing venture for Amazon. The company recently developed a new version of Alexa with generative AI capabilities capable of understanding longer prompts. These improvements are integrated into the Alexa Tablets launched on Thursday, priced as a premium product compared to the company's previously released, budget-friendly Fire tablets. Alexa+, the latest version of the voice assistant, is included in the $139-per-year Prime membership or available for $20 monthly as a standalone service.",
