"summary": "Mike Ditka, a Hall of Fame player and coach, has died at the age of 86. His family announced his death on October 9. Ditka led the Chicago Bears to a Super Bowl title as a coach and previously played for the Bears and Dallas Cowboys.\n\nAs a player, Ditka was a five-time Pro Bowler and won an NFL championship with the Bears in 1963. He played in 158 regular-season games, catching 427 passes for 5,812 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns. According to Yahoo Sports, Ditka revolutionized the tight end position, proving it could be a pass-catching option not limited to blocking.\n\nDitka had a significant impact on the game, and his legacy was acknowledged by Tennessee Titans coach Robert Saleh, who felt connected to Ditka as a former tight end in college. Saleh noted that Ditka's style of coaching and his contributions to the game, particularly with the 1985 Bears, had a tremendous impact.",
