"summary": "US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have reportedly struck a deal to release Russian diesel to global markets, marking a significant shift in US policy towards Moscow since the onset of the Ukraine war. The agreement, which emerged from a phone call between the two leaders, involves the immediate supply of over 300,000 tons of diesel, with further shipments totaling 3 million tons within a short period. The US Treasury Department has granted a temporary license for Russian diesel to reach global markets through April 2027. This move is seen as a response to rising fuel costs and could potentially alleviate some of the economic pressures faced by the US before the midterm elections. The announcement comes just as US, Ukrainian, and European officials were set to meet in Miami for diplomatic talks aimed at ending Russia's war in Ukraine.",
