"account": "Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has indefinitely postponed the start of the 2026/2027 academic year due to continuous strike actions by the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA). On Friday, October 9, university management announced the indefinite suspension of the scheduled reopening, which had been set for Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Students, parents, guardians, and other stakeholders are advised to await further communication from the university regarding a revised reopening date. The management regrets any inconvenience caused by this postponement and expresses gratitude for the understanding and cooperation of all parties involved. This decision comes amidst ongoing disruptions to administrative services at KNUST as a result of the GAUA strike, with some university offices operating at reduced capacity.",
