"account": "In the final weeks of 2024, former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka returned to the Windy City after years living in Naples, Florida. Fondly known as \"Da Coach,\" Ditka had once called Pittsburgh home, where he was raised by Ukrainian immigrant grandparents. He later anglicized his last name from Dyczko to Ditka when he joined the Bears in 1961. His legacy in Chicago includes being the only player to participate in both of the franchise's last two league championships as both a player and coach. The Super Bowl XX victory in 1985 made Ditka and his team legends in the city, with the Bears' fanbase divided primarily by their allegiance to football. Ditka's impact on the city was undeniable, as he served as a neighbor, a bartender, and an alderman, embodying Chicago's stubborn, blue-collar, and proud spirit. While the Bears didn't win another championship after Ditka's tenure, his legacy lived on, and he returned to Chicago in 1997 to coach the Saints. Fans received him warmly, despite his departure from the Bears just a year prior. Despite his move back to Florida in recent years, Ditka's connection to Chicago remained strong, as he passed away in November 2024, surrounded by the city that had always felt like home.",
