"account": "Diana, a 2.74m-long green anaconda at the Melaka Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary, gave birth to 10 offspring after 190 days without food. This birth marks a significant milestone in wildlife conservation as it represents the second generation of green anacondas bred at the sanctuary. The sanctuary now boasts over 40 green anacondas, making it home to Malaysia's largest population of the species. Diana, born at the sanctuary in August 2020, gave birth to live young, as opposed to laying eggs, like most snakes. Green anacondas typically fast during their gestation period, which lasts about six to seven months.\n\nManaging director Gerard Wong attributed the successful birth to the sanctuary's expertise and facilities in breeding exotic reptiles. He emphasized that breeding green anacondas, among the world's largest snake species, necessitates careful attention to temperature, water cleanliness, and currents that replicate their natural Amazon Basin habitat. Besides green anacondas, the sanctuary recently hatched 23 baby caimans, also native to South America. The sanctuary plans to host an upcoming carnival to allow visitors and animal enthusiasts to view the newborn anacondas and caimans up close.",
