"account": "Genève - Navanethem \"Navi\" Pillay, a South African jurist and former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, has dedicated her entire life to the pursuit of justice. Fearless, unconventional, and often lonely in her endeavors, Pillay has confronted discrimination and the abuse of power on various fronts. Her tireless work has earned her the highest international political honor: the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Committee recognized her fearless efforts for international law, her opposition to war crimes and genocide.\n\nThis award sends a clear political message: in a world of geopolitical tensions and conflicts, in a world where the rule-based international order is rapidly eroding, advocates for justice must take a stronger role. Furthermore, the award encourages transnational criminal justice, especially as the United States, under President Donald Trump, increasingly sanctions the International Criminal Court.",
