"summary": "The Trump administration has imposed institutional sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) following the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to one of its founding judges. This move comes in response to the court's 2024 arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, which sanctioned more than half of its judges and all its top prosecutors. The sanctions target the ICC as an institution, potentially cutting it off from large parts of the international financial system by restricting transactions in US dollars. While ICC officials have stated they are prepared to withstand the impact of these sanctions, they have alternative arrangements in place. The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, emphasized that the US will ban transactions with the ICC, aiming to cripple its ability to operate.",
