"account": "A Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) lost his life in a tragic accident in Akure, the bustling capital of Ondo State, on Friday. The incident occurred during a routine check of vehicle documents, when the officer attempted to stop a truck for an inspection. Eyewitnesses described the harrowing scene, where the officer stepped in front of the speeding vehicle to compel the driver to halt. The truck, traveling in the fast lane, could not be brought to a stop in time, leading to the officer being fatally crushed under the heavy machinery. One witness, known as Busayo, recounted the tragedy, stating that the VIO officer was standing directly in front of the truck while attempting to flag it down for inspection. The force of the impact was so sudden that it took several minutes for the body of the deceased VIO to be pulled from under the truck. Following the accident, sympathizers and passers-by gathered at the scene, while colleagues who witnessed the fatal incident called for immediate rescue efforts.",
