"account": "Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has given the green light for the 2025 Federal Government–Academic Staff Union of Universities agreement to be fully implemented for teachers at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, starting from January 2027. Dr Harrison Madubueze, the university's Public Relations Officer, announced this in a recent statement. The approval was communicated to COOU's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Omenugha, through the university's Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Peter Onwualu. Omenugha expressed her gratitude to the governor, praising him as a dependable leader with his word as his bond. This is a significant change for COOU, which has struggled for years to fully implement the FG-ASUU agreement due to a lack of political will from previous administrations. The governor's commitment to improving education in Anambra and making COOU a globally recognized institution is evident in this decision.",
