"account": "Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has given the green light for the 2025 Federal Government–Academic Staff Union of Universities agreement to be fully implemented at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, effective January 2027. The university's Public Relations Officer, Dr Harrison Madubueze, shared this news in a statement on Friday. Madubueze reported that the approval was conveyed to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kate Omenugha by the Chairman of the university's Governing Council, Prof. Peter Onwualu. Omenugha expressed appreciation to the governor and the university's labor unions for their understanding. The statement conveyed, \"The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Management, Senate, Staff and Students, expressed profound gratitude to Mr Governor, describing him as a dependable leader whose word is his bond, following earlier assurances on the matter.\" Despite past administrations' lack of political will, the governor's decision marks a significant step in fulfilling promises made over many years.",
