"summary": "Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has suggested that artificial intelligence (AI) could enable people to work fewer hours while maintaining a comfortable standard of living. In a recent interview with Fox News, Bezos stated that AI's productivity gains could allow some people to choose to work three days a week and still support their families. According to Bezos, this could lead to a labor shortage as people may opt to work less or have only one earner in a household.\n\nBezos disagrees with those who predict that AI will result in widespread job losses. Instead, he believes that AI may lead to labor shortages rather than large-scale job losses. When pointed out that Amazon had recently cut nearly 30,000 jobs, Bezos attributed this to the company's rapid hiring during the Covid-19 pandemic.\n\nBezos' vision of a possible three-day workweek has sparked criticism online, with some expressing concerns about job security. The Amazon founder's comments have also drawn attention to the potential impact of AI on the workforce and the economy.",
