"summary": "The Ghana Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has vehemently rejected claims made by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that their agency independently led a recent cybercrime operation within Ghana. Instead, the CSA has stated that the operation, known as \"Operation Blackout\" or \"Operation Cyber Hunt\", was a Ghanaian-led initiative, with support from various domestic and international law enforcement agencies. The Authority asserts that the operation was meticulously planned and executed within Ghana's legal and institutional frameworks, underlining that foreign law enforcement agencies could not independently carry out arrests or conduct policing activities in the country. While acknowledging the valuable intelligence contributions of the FBI and the UK’s National Crime Agency, the CSA calls for clarification on the FBI's public account of the operation, urging them to recognize the significant roles played by Ghanaian institutions and other international partners in its execution.",
