"account": "EcoQuest AI is an open-source, AI-powered outdoor exploration app that encourages users to spend more time experiencing the world around them, rather than scrolling through screens. This submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge aims to promote real-world exploration through small, achievable outdoor missions. Users can discover nature quests, maintain a field journal, track progress, and explore with AI using a locally running Gemma model to generate personalized missions and ask nature-related questions. The project is designed for students, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking to build healthier digital habits while reconnecting with the natural world. The application currently runs locally using Streamlit and includes a lightweight Python application, an open-weight AI model, a field journal, progress tracking, and optional local Gemma integration. The core idea behind EcoQuest AI is to make AI assist people in experiencing more of the real world, not just spending more time online. The project is still in its early stages and could benefit from contributions such as persistent user profiles, nature identification from uploaded photographs, voice-based outdoor guidance, location-aware missions, and community challenges.",
