"account": "Rotimi Amaechi, the African Democratic Congress candidate for vice-president, has vowed that his party, if elected, will build the Gelegele Seaport and other deep water ports across Nigeria. The former Rivers State governor made the claim during an ADC stakeholders' meeting in Edo State, where he addressed concerns over the Gelegele Seaport project. Amaechi stated that the construction of several deep seaports, including Lekki Deep Seaport, was approved under former President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, despite the misconception that President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu claimed to have built it. Buhari, he said, approved the projects, while the concept originated under the former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Should the ADC secure the presidency, Amaechi assured that the Gelegele Seaport would be prioritized for development, with an estimated investment of $400m to $500m sufficient to initiate construction, followed by expansion.",
