"account": "The execution of former U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan by firing squad will be livestreamed, according to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. This would mark the first public execution in the U.S. in nearly a century, and is considered unprecedented in modern times. John Mills, a lawyer representing death row inmates, stated that livestreaming the execution is \"unprecedented in the modern era\" and \"on uncertain legal terrain.\" Hegseth expressed that the public needs to understand the serious consequences of such actions. The Pentagon announced earlier this week that Hasan would be executed by firing squad, making it the first military execution in over 60 years. The execution is scheduled for December 3rd at Fort Hood in Texas.",
