"summary": "The Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has charged former Greentown China Holdings chairman Zhang Yadong with accepting bribes worth HK$20 million (US$2.5 million) from a mainland Chinese property developer. Zhang, who headed the company from 2019 to 2025, is accused of conspiring to accept the bribes in exchange for acquiring a stake in the developer's real estate project. The ICAC investigation revealed that Zhang solicited bribes through his son, a middleman, and other individuals between January 2020 and March 2023. Prosecutors allege that the bribes were deposited into the son's bank account in multiple payments via the middleman. The case was mentioned at Eastern Court on Friday.",
