"account": "Miami (AP) — Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat center and longtime partner of Las Vegas Aces star Ja Wilson, learned earlier that his girlfriend had been named the WNBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the fifth time. Adebayo was not privy to the voting results, which meant he could not give Wilson any hints about the award. Adebayo stated, \"I had nothing to do with that.\" The couple has a combined five MVPs, with Wilson winning all of them. They have been together for a few years after forming a close friendship during USA Basketball's Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Adebayo is frequently at Aces games during Wilson's offseason, while Wilson attends Heat games when Adebayo's schedule permits. Adebayo expressed his excitement about celebrating Wilson's deserved achievement, saying, \"You can't put five MVPs into words. You literally just have to sit there and admire greatness.\" Wilson has consistently been the dominant player in the WNBA, earning all five of her MVP awards through first-place votes, with 54% of all first-place votes in her nine-season career. She has received 274 first-place MVP votes, while all other WNBA players combined have 233. Wilson has been a seven-time All-Star, tying for seventh in her first season and winning MVP in six consecutive seasons. She is also the WNBA's all-time leading scorer with a career average of 22.1 points per game.",
