"account": "On the same day that US President Donald Trump honored Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation, Vice President Kamala Harris announced the suspension of green cards for Microsoft and other IT firms. Trump expressed his gratitude for Nadella's contributions to the company and the world of technology. The US Vice President cited Microsoft's layoffs of 6,000 American workers and their utilization of 6,300 H-1B temporary worker visas and nearly 3,000 green cards as factors leading to the suspension. Microsoft refuted these claims, stating that the majority of their employees in the US are American, and the majority of their H-1B visa applications were to extend or change the status of existing employees, not to hire new ones.",
