"account": "A federal immigration officer in New York City shot and wounded a Dominican man during an arrest on Thursday. The incident occurred in Marble Hill, a neighborhood in Manhattan attached to the Bronx. The Department of Homeland Security described it as a \"targeted enforcement operation.\" The man, who is believed to have had prior arrests, is currently in stable condition at a hospital. Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Governor Kathy Hochul expressed their outrage over the shooting and called for an end to federal immigration enforcement actions in the city. Protesters decried the shooting as an example of the dangers of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. Video footage showed the aftermath of the shooting, with the man lying on the ground surrounded by several officers. Demonstrators chanted \"ICE off our streets now!\" and marched to the hospital where the injured man was being treated.",
