"account": "Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Laptop Ultra, urging Apple MacBook owners to leave their current devices behind and consider upgrading to the new model. In an apparent attempt to poach MacBook Pro users, Microsoft is offering up to $1,000 as part of a trade-in scheme for those willing to exchange their older MacBook. However, the actual payout depends on the age and condition of the Apple laptop in question. For instance, a 2020 MacBook Pro 13-inch with basic specifications would only fetch $45, while a 2023 MacBook Pro 14-inch with an M3 chip would yield around $275. The trade-in value significantly increases with newer models, such as a 2024 MacBook Pro 14-inch with an M4 chip, which can bring in $755. It's important to note that this offer is currently limited to the United States. Critics argue that Microsoft's approach of encouraging Apple users to \"break up\" with their MacBooks seems desperate, and some believe the trade-in offer may not be as enticing as it appears.",
