"summary": "The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the All Progressives Congress (APC), plans to deploy 90,000 kilometres of open-access fibre across the country by 2028 as part of Project BRIDGE. This digital infrastructure initiative aims to expand broadband connectivity nationwide, increase the country's fibre backbone from about 35,000 kilometres to 125,000 kilometres, and connect over 200,000 schools, health facilities, and public institutions. The project's success will depend on moving beyond policy announcements to actual implementation and securing additional $1.2bn in private capital to complete financing needs.",
