"summary": "Royal Navy sailor Teddy Young, 24, appeared in court in London on Oct. 8, charged with passing military secrets to Russia under the UK's National Security Act 2023. He allegedly used his security clearance to access sensitive defense and intelligence information while deployed on a Royal Navy warship and attempted to pass it to Russian authorities via the dark web. This marks the first time a British armed forces member has been charged under the new act, though foreign nationals have attempted to pass sensitive information to Russia during the conflict in Ukraine.",
