"account": "The US military plans to livestream the Dec. 3 firing squad execution of former Army psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan, who was convicted in 2013 for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that killed 13 people and wounded 32. Pentagon officials announced the decision following Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's comment that the execution would be \"public,\" with the White House confirming the plan. This execution would be the first by the US military since 1961 and the first Army firing squad execution since World War II. Hasan, a major and psychiatrist at the time of the shooting, was sentenced to death five days after his court-martial conviction in 2013. The execution will take place at the same Fort Hood base where the massacre occurred, at 1 pm Central Time, after approval from military authorities.",
