"account": "In a remarkable achievement, Canadian poet Anne Carson has been awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature for her \"bold and inventive oeuvre,\" according to the Swedish Academy in Stockholm. The academy's permanent secretary, Ingrid Carlberg, praised Carson's work for its innovative approach to contemporary literature, noting that it has created new forms in dialogue with classical tradition. Throughout her career, Carson has seamlessly combined poetry writing with translation work and teaching at various universities across North America, including McGill, Michigan, New York, and Princeton. Born in Toronto in 1950 and educated at the city's university, Carson is a poet, essayist, translator, and classicist. Among her most renowned works are the 1998 novel written in verse, \"Autobiography of Red,\" and the essay \"Eros the Bittersweet\" from 1986. Carson will receive a prize of 12 million Swedish kronor ($1.2 million) during a ceremony in Stockholm on December 10, marking the anniversary of the prize's founder, Alfred Nobel's, death.",
